Strainer and Screen mesh number

배관 계통을 통하여 이송되는 액체 또는 기체속에 포함되어 있는 이물질을 제거하여 계통에 설치되는 Pump, Equipment, Valve, Flowmeter, Trap, Spray Nozzle등을 이물질로부터 보호하기 위한 여과장치이다.

부억의 싱크대에 배수관에 설치되어 음식물이 배출되는 것을 방지하는 여과기와 동일한 원리인것이다.

Strainer는 형태에 따라 다음과 같이 구분된다.

 

 

Y-type Strainer

T-type strainer

Basket type strainer

Duplex basket type strainer

strainer에는 이물질 여과를 위해 아래와 같은 mesh가 설치된다.

Screen mesh의 크기에 따라 mesh의 number는 아래와 같다.

일반적인 Plant의 Pump suction에 설치되는 strainer의 Screen에는 40mesh이 적용되며, 적용되는 배관계통의 조건에 따라 적당한 mesh가 적용된다.
